I recently attended a free webinar to hear an author talk about his new book and how he got the book deal in the first place (because I'm a writer with a manuscript, a propposal, a query, and a pitch...looking for an agent). He ended his presentation with incentives for buying 1 book, 4 books, or 9 books, each level with a greater number of perks (replays, downloads, courses, etc.). Now I know where he got the idea! Thank you, Panio, for introducing us to Rory Vaden and Brand Builders Group. More important to me as a writer, however, was his reminder: "Bestseller lists don't change lives, but BOOKS still do."

It's a really clever idea. I don't know why I never thought of selling multiple copies (maybe because selling ONE copy of a book seemed daunting?) but it's a hugely effective strategic shift. That is, of course, if you can make it work. Figuring out the incentives people actually want is the trick...
